• The Sharks No. 3 and No. 2 doubles teams each claimed victories over the Pioneers.
• Senior Same Peikes and sophomore Joanna Kim (Chicago, Ill./Northside College Prep) earned the lone doubles point for Smith in the top slot over Jessica Schroedl and Olivia Lakes, 8-4.
• Peikes picked up her second point of the day in No. 1 singles with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Schroedl.
• Kim battled hard in the No. 2 position, but ultimately fell 6-7, 6-4 (10-4).
