LEESBURG, Fla. - Senior outfielder
Ally Snyder (Succasunna, N.J./Roxbury) extended her own career home run record at Smith College in a 13-3 loss to Washington University St. Louis Wednesday morning. The Pioneers bounced back and earned a 12-0 five inning win over Lasell College in the second game of the doubleheader.

The Bears struck first to take a 6-0 lead in the first two innings of the game capped off by a two run homer by senior outfielder Hannah Mehrle. Smith responded in their half of the second inning with a solo jack from Snyder to make the score 6-1. Snyder's dinger extended her own career home run record at Smith College to 17. Tyler Feeney (Merrimac, Mass./Pentucket Regional) stepped up to the plate and recorded an RBI double to score Pioggia.
The Bears added four more runs before
Makena Wagner (Hilo, Hawaii/Kamehameha Schools Hawaii) scored on an RBI single from Pioggia. Wash. U added two more runs in the seventh for the 13-3 final.
Snyder went 3-for-4 at the dish with one RBI.

The Pioneers wasted no time getting to the Lasell pitcher, tagging her for two runs in the first inning. Smith exploded for six runs in the third inning to claim an 8-0 lead. Senior
Ruth Zimmerman (Edison, N.J./J.P. Stevens) and sophomore
Lydia DeAngelo (Portsmouth, R.I./Moses Brown) each doubled in the inning two drive in two runs apiece.
Smith added three more runs in the fifth for the 12-0 final.

Natalie Burchat (Shrewsbury, Mass./Shrewsbury) went 4.0 innings with two strikeouts, no walks and gave up only three hits. Feeney and senior
