FIVE THINGS TO KNOW

• The Smith College volleyball team hosts Babson College and Framingham State in a tri-match Saturday afternoon.

 

• The Pioneers look to earn their first conference win of the season against the Beavers who are undefeated in NEWMAC action at 3-0.

 

• Senior libero Sakura Tamaki (New York, N.Y./Fiorello H. LaGuardia) is ranked sixth in the NEWMAC with 4.22 digs per set...First year Caleigh Johnson (Georgetown, Tex./St. Dominic Savio Catholic) is sixth in the conference, hitting .313.

 

• For Babson, Rachel Williams is fourth in the NEWMAC in hitting percentage (.361) while Elizabeth Cameron is second in assists per set (9.91) and Abby Beecher is fifth in digs per set (4.30)

 

• Freshman Kelly Brinkman was named MASCAC Rookie of the Week for the third time this season. Brinkman leads the Rams with 88 kills.
