Kimani Freeman (Newark, N.J./Montclair Kimberly Academy) earned All-Tournament Team recognition as the Pioneers concluded play at the 27th Annual Volleyball Hall of Fame Tournament Saturday afternoon at Ainsworth Gymnasium. Smith fell to Brandeis 3-0 (25-11, 25-16, 25-11) in the opening match of the day and dropped a 3-2 (27-25, 22-25, 22-25, 25-18, 15-4) decision to Plymouth State in the nightcap. Smith moves to 3-20 on the season.

Notable
- Sophomore Amy Hagen (Owings, Md./Northern) totaled a team-high eight kills.
- Junior Iris Afantchao (Windsor, Conn./Windsor) finished with four blocks.
- Junior Kimani Freeman (Newark, N.J./Montclair Kimberly Academy) recorded 15 assists and Jody Huang (Cranston, R.I./Cranston) added 10 digs.

- Hagen again led the Pioneers with a match-high 20 kills.
- Afantchao totaled seven kills and six blocks.
- Freeman registered 34 assists and Huang powered the defense with 21 digs.

The Pioneers travel to Mount Holyoke College for a 7:00 p.m. match on Tuesday, October conclude the 2017 season with a home match on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. against Mount Holyoke.
