NORTHAMPTON, Mass. - The Smith College soccer team dropped their final home game of the regular season, falling to Coast Guard 1-0 Tuesday afternoon in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) action. The Pioneers move to 6-8-0 overall and 1-5-0 in the NEWMAC, while the Bears win their fourth-straight and improve to 7-4-1 on the year and 4-1-1 in the conference.

- Sophomore Peyton McBride (Manchester, N.H./Goffstown) totaled three shots on goal for the Pioneers.
- First-year goalkeeper Naomi Falkenberg (Sutton, Mass./Sutton Memorial)Â made eight saves in the loss.
- Katharina Commins stopped seven shots for the Bears in the shutout.
- The visitors held a 19-12 advantage in shots and 5-3 edge in corners.
- Smith moves to 9-5-1 all-time against Coast Guard.
