NORTHAMPTON, Mass. - The 2018 Seven Sisters Tennis Championship began competition today with five matches at the Indoor Track and Tennis Facility on the campus of Smith College. Vassar came out in dominating fashion, sweeping Mount Holyoke and Smith by 5-0 scores. The Brewers are on the hunt for their 15th tournament title tomorrow. 

Wellesley began their day with a 4-1 victory over Mount Holyoke before posting a 5-0 sweep of Bryn Mawr. 

The Pioneers dropped their first match of the day to Bryn Mawr, 3-2. 

After day one, Vassar and Wellesley are tied for first place with 2-0 records. Bryn Mawr is third with a 1-1 mark, while Smith and Mount Holyoke finished 0-2 on the first day. 

The five teams will conclude competition with five more matches tomorrow.

Match 3: Vassar def. Smith, 5-0
Match 4: Wellesley def. Bryn Mawr, 5-0
