NORTHAMPTON, Mass. - The Smith College tennis team lost 9-0 to visiting Babson College on Tuesday afternoon in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) action at the Indoor Track and Tennis Facility.
The Beavers improve to 7-2 overall and 3-0 in conference play, while the Pioneers drop to 1-9 and 0-3.
The closest match of the day came at No. 2 singles, where Babson's Carolina Merz defeated Smith's Allison Ahern, 6-1, 6-2.
Smith will look to bounce back on Saturday, April 7 when they host Emerson for a 12:00 p.m. conference match.
