FIVE THINGS TO KNOW
- The Smith College lacrosse team returns to the postseason for the first time since 2012 tonight against Springfield.
- This will be the fourth meeting between these two programs in the conference tournament...Smith's last win in the postseason was a 10-7 quarterfinal victory over Wheaton in 2007.
- Senior midfielder Caroline Myran (Philadelphia, Pa./Germantown Friends School) needs just one goal for 100 in their career.
- Senior Julia Hamilton (Williamstown, Mass./Deerfield Academy) has scored a goal in eight consecutive games for the Pioneers.
- Springfield, which was seventh in the NCAA Division III Regional Rankings last week, is currently riding a seven-game winning streak and is led by Shelby Corsano who is ranked third in the NEWMAC with 74 points (53 goals, 21 assists).
