NORTHAMPTON, Mass. - Five different players scored as the Smith College field hockey team defeated Western New England University, 5-1, Tuesday evening in non-conference action. The Pioneers have won four consecutive games and improve to 5-3 on the season. The Golden Bears fall to 2-6 on the year.

Bryn Murray (Glastonbury, Conn./Glastonbury) inserter the ball to senior
Bayleigh Bogan (Encinitas, Calif./La Costa Canyon) who ripped a shot that ricocheted off the WNE goalkeeper. Murray recovered the rebound and snuck it inside the left post.

Jenna Tampon (Oceanside, Calif./Vista) dribbled inside the top of the 16 and sent a rocket into the back of the cage.
24:33 - SMITH - Junior
Morgan Handwerger (Leola, Pa./Conestoga Valley) took a pass from Murray off another Smith corner and fired a shot to the center of the cage through the five hole.
58:40 - SMITH - During a scuffle in the circle, Handwerger chipped the ball to Murray who tapped it inside the left post.
68:16 - SMITH - Sophomore
Jenine Jacinto (Oceanside, Calif./Mission Vista) sent a pass to first year Grace Moorehead who slid it into the net.
