Soccer Blanks Western New England, 3-0

NORTHAMPTON, Mass. - Junior Reilly Sullivan (Keene, N.H./Keene) scored and added an assist to propel the Smith College soccer team to a 3-0 win over Western New England University Thursday afternoon in non-conference action. The Pioneers moved to 6-4-0 overall, while the Golden Bears drop to 4-4-1 on the season.

HOW THEY SCORED

7' | SMITH | The eventual game-winner came early, when Krissy Williams' (Stockbridge, Mass./Monument Mountain) shot was blocked by the WNE defense and sophomore Kelly McKenna (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) gained control of the loose ball. McKenna tipped it to first year Zufan Bazzano (Great Barrington, Mass./Monument Mountain) who ripped it to the back of the net.

26' | SMITH | Sophomore Peyton McBride (Manchester, N.H./Goffstown) scored the insurance goal on a perfectly executed corner by the Smith offense. Sullivan sent the ball in and McBride's header put the Pioneers up, 2-0.

58' | SMITH | On the right side of the pitch just outside the 18, Sullivan lofted the ball over the WNE defense for her second goal of the season.
