NORTHAMPTON, Mass. - Sophomore
Peyton McBride (Manchester, N.H./Goffstown) notched a goal and an assist to propel the Smith College soccer team to a 3-0 win over Nichols College Thursday afternoon in non-conference action. With the win, the Pioneers improve to 2-1-0 on the season while Nichols drops to 1-1-1.

- Ewka Varney (Portland, Maine/Deering) and Peyton McBride (Manchester, N.H./Goffstown) each recorded their first career goals.
- First-year goalkeeper Naomi Falkenberg (Sutton, Mass./Sutton Memorial) made one save in 57:34 minutes of action while Brooke Downey stopped 10 shots in 77 minutes.
- The Pioneers held a 22-5 advantage in shots, while Nichols finished with a 4-3 edge in corners.
