SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Smith College soccer team won their third consecutive game with their 3-0 win over Western New England University Tuesday afternoon at Suprenant Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• 17' -  After the Golden Bears failed to clear the ball out of the box, junior Peyton McBride (Manchester, N.H./Goffstown) gained possession, spun around and sent a shot past Western New England senior goalkeeper.
• 20' - McBride sent a cross from the right side into the box, and sophomore Zufan Bazzano (Great Barrington, Mass./Monument Mountain) settled the ball before burying the ball into the back of the net.
• 57'- Junior Madison Biasin (Lee, Mass./Berkshire School) lofted a shot over the goalkeeper's head and into the net after receiving a cross from junior Jessica Matsuoka (Redding, Conn./Joel Barlow).

GAME NOTES

• Smith remains undefeated all-time against the Golden Bears, improving to 5-0.
• Smith held a 15-14 edge in shots, while the two teams were even with four corner kicks apiece.
• Sophomore goalkeeper Naomi Falkenberg (Sutton, Mass./Sutton) earned the win, turning away four shots.
