DUDLEY, Mass. -Â The Nichols College women's soccer team defeated Smith College 1-0 in non-conference action Saturday afternoon on Vendetti Field.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- 68' - After an errant pass from the visitors, Meghan Dunn gained control of the ball and sent it by the Smith goalkeeper
- The two teams went into halftime scoreless despite the Pioneers putting up nine shots in the first
GAME NOTES
- Nichols goalie Olivia Marcantonio now has three clean sheets in her first four games of the season
- Smith goalkeeper Noemi Howland (South Pasadena, Calif./South Pasadena) made the only save for the Pioneers
- The Bison pulled away with the win despite being outshot 15-3
- Today's match marked the second all-time meting between the two programs, the Bison tie the series at a game apiece now
