NORTHAMPTON, Mass. - The Smith College basketball team got back in the win column with a 79-33 victory over Dean College in non-conference basketball action Thursday evening in Ainsworth Gymnasium.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• First-year Amelia Clairmont (Laconia, N.H./New Hampton School) led the way with 12 points on 4-of-6 shooting
• Sophomore Dashelle Gleissner (Los Angeles, Calif./Serra) finished with eight points, eight assists and four boards
• Sophomore Kyra Rideout (Hinsdale, N.H./Vermont Academy) produced eight points and seven rebounds

GAME NOTES

• The Pioneers improve to 2-0 all-time against teh Bulldogs
• Smith remains unbeaten at home this season (9-0)
• 12 different student-athletes scored for the Pioneers
• Smith shot 56.9% (33-of-58) from the field compared to 23.8% (15-of-63) shooting by Dean
• The Pioneers owned a 44-25 advantage on the boards while forcing 19 turnovers
