WELLESLEY, Mass. - Smith College first year Parker Ellis (Chicago, Ill./Jones College Prep) tallied the equalizer against Wellesley in the second half, as the Seven Sisters rivals played to a 1-1 tie in New England Women's & Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) action on Saturday at the Wellesley fields complex. 

HOW IT HAPPENED
3rd Minute - Carrie Huang curled in a corner kick in the third minute of the first half, bouncing the ball off the hands of Smith goalkeeper Naomi Falkenberg (Sutton, Mass./Sutton) (Sutton, Mass.) after the Smith netminder jumped for a contested ball in the penalty area. 

68th Minute - Ellis corralled a loose ball in the Blue penalty area following a cross and slid a shot past Wellesley goalkeeper 

GAME NOTES
  • Smith netminder Naomi Falkenberg (Sutton, Mass./Sutton) (4-2-2) turned away four shots
  • Wellesley finished the contest with a 15-10 advantage in shots and a 10-0 advantage in corner kicks.
  • Ellis has now scored in two consecutive games for the Pioneers
