AMHERST, Mass.- The Smith College soccer team suffered a 5-0 loss to 10-ranked Amherst College Sunday afternoon in non-conference action.

SCORING SUMMARY

• 35:38 - Ruby Hastie cut across the top of the box and ripping a low shot into the opposite corner.
• 37:36 - Alexa Juarez teamed up with Sophia Fikke on a perfectly placed corner kick to send a header from the middle of the box into the nylon
• 49:48 - Patience Kum dribbled through a host of Smith defenders and sent a left-footed drive into the top left corner
• 51:46 - Kum struck again on one-touch passes from Liza Katz and Natalie Landau
• 59:01 - Sierra Rosado redirected a cross from Katz over the goal line

GAME NOTES

• Natalie Dionne (Brooklyn, Conn./Norwich Free Academy) nearly capitalized on a Smith free kick from 30 yards out in the 58th minute, but her shot rang off the crossbar
• Senior goalkeeper Naomi Falkenberg (Sutton, Mass./Sutton) registered five saves in the losing effort
• The Mammoths owned a 12-7 advantage in shots and 4-3 edge in corners
• Amherst moves to 16-12-3 all-time against Smith
