NORTHAMPTON - Sophomore goalkeeper
Rory Harper (Wayne, Penn./Radnor) set a new school record for saves in a game with 32 in Smith field hockey's 4-0 loss to No. 5 Amherst College Wednesday evening. The Mammoths improve to 11-2 on the year, while the Pioneers are now 8-7.

Highlights
- Amherst wasted no time getting on the board as Mazambani netted her team-leading 13th goal of the season when she intercepted a pass and ripped a shot from the top of the circle
- With under two minutes in the half, Harper made a number of saves but Maynard was able to corral the ball and used a reverse shot to double Amherst's lead
- Maynard scored her second goal of the game on a reverse chip from the top left of the circle which was deflected in by the Smith defense
- Kays rounded out the scoring for the Mammoths when she received the insertion from Mazambani and blasted a shot from the top of the circle
- Harper was outstanding all night, turning away 32 shots and breaking the previous record that was set in 2011
- Amherst held a commanding 42-3 edge in shots and 11-3 advantage in corners
