NORTHAMPTON, Mass. - The Smith College tennis team secured a 9-0 shutout victory over Clark University Tuesday afternoon in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) match. The Pioneers improve to 7-6 overall and 3-4 in league play.

Match Highlights

• In doubles action, the Pioneers jumped out to a 3-0 lead as Smith captured an 8-3 decision at No. 1 and 8-0 mark at No. 2.
• Clara Goshgarian (Lake Forest, IL/Lake Forest) defeated Liliya Georgista at No. 2 by a 6-1, 6-1 score, while Ashley Felex earned a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 3.
• Lili Goshgarian (Lake Forest, IL/Lake Forest), Alexa Monos (Reading, PA/Wilson) and Olivia Monos (Reading, PA/Wilson) all captured 6-0, 6-0 victories.
