NORTON, Mass. - The Smith College tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision to Wheaton College in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) match Saturday morning in the Beard Field House. The Lyons have won three of their last four and improve to 5-8 overall and 2-1 in league play, while the Pioneers fall to 3-5 and 0-3.

Match Highlights

• The pair of Ashley Felix (El Paso, Tex./Americas) and Alexa Monos (Reading, PA/Wilson) picked up the lone double point for the Pioneers with an 8-6 win over Alexa Acosta and Katie Steinberg
• In single, Clara Goshgarian (Lake Forest, IL/Lake Forest) registered Smith's second point, outlasting her opponent 6-2, 6-2 at the No. 2 slot
