NORTHAMPTON, MASS. - In the opening match of NEWMAC play for the visiting Smith College soccer team, both teams kept each other off of the board ending in a 0-0 draw on Saturday afternoon.

- Senior goalkeeper Noemi Howland (South Pasadena, Calif./South Pasadena) recorded five saves in the first half of the game.
- Howland posted seven saves in the second half, while the last three stops were within a two-minute span.

- The Engineers held a 27-6 edge in total shots and a 12-3 advantage in shots on goal
- WPI posted six corners while Smith produced two
