Hannah Hutton (Germantown, TN/Briarcrest) scored her first career goal as the Smith College soccer team played to a 1-1 tie with Springfield College (8-4-5, 6-2-3) in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) contest Saturday afternoon. With the tie, the Pioneers (6-6-4, 4-4-3) qualify for the NEWMAC Tournament for the first time since the 2015 season and will travel to Springfield College for a quarterfinal matchup Tuesday, October 31 at 7:00pm.
