NORTHAMPTON - The Smith College lacrosse team suffered a 15-7 setback to Colorado College Thursday evening, The Pioneers Tigers move to 7-5 this season while the Pioneers fall to 4-6 overall. 

Game Highlights

• Colorado College struck first and led 6-3 after the opening quarter
• The second quarter was highlighted by strong defense and goalkeeping as neither team found the back of the net
• The Tigers used a 5-1 run in the third to go ahead 11-4 heading into the final period
• Caroline Sanders (Trabuco, CA/Santa Margarita), Jennie Arancio (Smithtown, N.Y./Hauppauge) and Sadie Tschider (Piedmont, CA/Piedmont) all scored for Smith in the fourth

By the Numbers

• Smith goaltender Brooke Testa (Pittstown, NJ/Delaware Valley) was outstanding, stopping 13 shots as Colorado College held a 39-16 advantage in shots
• Caroline Sanders (Trabuco, CA/Santa Margarita) scored twice for the Pioneers while Tschider, Jennie Arancio (Smithtown, N.Y./Hauppauge), Sydney Havlick (Murrieta, Calif./Murrieta Valley) and Reese Gittelman (Ocean City, Md./Worcester Preparatory) each recorded goals
• Isabelle Elder (Santa Rosa, CA/Sonoma Academy) had four caused turnovers and four ground balls to lead the Pioneers
