Box Score NORTHAMPTON - The Smith College soccer team got back in the win column as the Pioneers defeated visiting Western New England University, 2-1, Tuesday afternoon. Smith improves to 2-1-2 on the year, while WNEU falls to 2-1-2.

- Smith opened the scoring as Kyla Warner (Katy, TX/Tompkins) corralled the rebound in front of the goal off a cross from Una Keller (Davis, CA/Davis) and put a shot into the corner of the goal in the 35th minute
- The Golden Bears tied things up at 54:11 in the second half as Liza Pinette dribbled through the Smith defense and slipped it past the diving reach of the keeper
- With under 14 minutes left in the game, Keller beat a defender and blasted a shot from outside the box to the top right corner for her first career goal

- WNEU took four corners to just two for the Pioneers
