NORTHAMPTON - The Smith College soccer team picked up three crucial points with today's 3-0 NEWMAC victory over Welllesley. Smith now sits in second place in the 2024 women's soccer standings.

Game Highlights

• Abby Dickson (Deerfield, NH/Concord) put Smith ahead 1-0 in the 18th minute as she registered her first goal of the year on a one-touch shot off a feed from Sara Buszkiewicz (Westminster, MA/Oakmont)
• Una Keller (Davis, CA/Davis) doubled the lead with her team-leading third goal of the season in the 25th minute. Keller beat her defender and slipped a shot just into the far left corner of the goal
• The Pioneers put the game away in the 58th minute when Kyla Warner (Katy, TX/Tompkins) took a cross from Keller for the 3-0 advantage
• Smith held a slim 6-5 edge in shots on goal and a 4-1 advantage in corner kicks
• Skylar Smith (Carlisle, MA/Concord-Carlisle Regional) stopped two shots, while Linnea Alvarado-Faulknew also made two saves in 16 minutes of action
