NORTHAMPTON - The Smith College basketball team has its sights set on the 2024 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championships this weekend, traveling to Boston for the semifinals hosted by MIT to take on Springfield.

Junior Abby Hunt (Mandeville, LA/Fontainebleau) leads the team in kills with 351 total thus far this season which is good for sixth in the NEWMAC. Hunt won NEWMAC Offensive Player of the Week twice so far this season and is looking to capitalize on her 16 kill performance against Wellesley.

Taylor Gwynne (Chapel Hill, NC/Carrborro) has been a great addition to this Smith squad. With Gwynne having reached over 1000 assists already this season, she looks to continue to build on that and lead the offense which is ranked in the top ten in the country.
