Field Hockey Comes Up Short to No. 13 MIT

NORTHAMPTON - The Smith College field hockey team dropped its NEWMAC opener to No. 13 MIT Saturday evening by a score of 4-0.

  • Eva Oppenheim scored the games first two goals as the Engineers were up 2-0 at halftime

  • In just her second career appearance, Smith goalkeeper Emma Newman (Clarks Summit/Abington Heights) stopped nine shots
