HARTFORD, CT - The Smith College field hockey team struck first in the contest, but Trinity rattled off two unanswered goals earn a 2-1 overtime victory Wednesday evening.

• Caroline McShea (Pittsburgh, PA/Oakland Catholic) gave Smith a 1-0 lead in the 50th minute off a pass from Annika Peterson (Forest Hill, MD/North Harford)
• Izzy Deveney tied the game just two minutes later to send the game to overtime
• Smith had two corner opportunities in the extra stanza but was unable to convert
• Tatum Stickney scored the game-winner in the 69th minute
• Rory Harper (Wayne, PA/Radnor) made 14 saves for the Pioneers
• The Bantams held a commanding 34-16 advantage in shots and 13-5 edge in corners
