NORTHAMPTON - Smith College diver Katherine Welsh (St. Paul, MN/Saint Paul Academy) continues to represent the Bears in the NEWMAC weekly awards this season as she picked up her second consecutive honor of the 2025-26 campaign. The senior was named  NEWMAC Diver of the Week, announced by the league office Monday morning. 

Welsh tied the Dalton Pool record on the 1-meter in Smith's 184-73 win over Simmons on Friday night. She posted a score of 300.10 on the 1-meter to win the event, which also tops the NCAA Diving Regional qualification mark. On the 3-meter, she scored 310.05 points. 

The Bears host Westfield State at Dalton Pool on Friday, November 14 at 6:00pm.
