Swim & Dive Finishes Third at Bomber Invitational

December 07, 2025

ITHACA, NY - The Smith College swim and dive team excelled at the Bomber Invitational hosted by Ithaca College, placing third out of a competitive field of seven teams. The Bombers (2,307 points) outpaced the University of Rochester (2,037.5) and Smith College (1,135) to claim the championship on the final day of competition. The Bears, who achieved over 44 lifetime best times, improved on their sixth place performance last season and nearly doubled their score.

"This was a super challenging meet that provided the team with a great opportunity to compete at a high level and overcome adversity. I was impressed with the grit the team demonstrated on the last day of competition - putting up strong swims and dives as we came from behind over Vassar to place 3rd. I'm proud of the entire team and extremely excited to see what we'll accomplish next semester. They are just scratching the surface of their potential this season. We're going to keep getting better." -Head Coach Caleb Potvin
