NORTHAMPTON - Smith College swimming and diving earned 2024-25 Spring Team Scholar All-America accolades, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced. Diver
Katherine Welsh (St. Paul, MN/Saint Paul Academy) was named to Second Team Scholar All-America Team.
To earn the prestigious Scholar All-America accolades, teams were required to achieve a grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 or higher during the Spring 2025 semester. The Bears completed the spring semester with a 3.72 GPA.
Individually, to qualify for First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes must have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher and participated at their national championship. Second-Team selections, must have also earned a 3.5 GPA or higher and met a "B" time standard for the national championship or qualified for a diving zone qualification meet.
Welsh qualified for the NCAA Regional Diving meet for the third consecutive year, finishing seventh on the 3-meter and 13th on the 1-meter.
