NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – Smith College junior Mia Etheridge (Half Moon Bay, CA/Half Moon Bay) has been named the NEWMAC Offensive Player of the Week following a dominant all-around performance that powered the Bears to a 2–1 weekend.

Etheridge totaled 48 kills, 32 digs, and 6 service aces across three matches, averaging 4.36 kills per set while hitting an efficient .330 on 112 swings. She opened the weekend with 15 kills and 5 digs against No. 17 Colby before recording a season-high 20 kills and 14 digs in a five-set victory over UMass Dartmouth.

Etheridge capped the weekend by hitting .400 with 11 kills, 13 digs, and 3 aces in a four-set win over UAA opponent Brandeis.

This marks Etheridge's first NEWMAC weekly honor of the season.

The Bears return to action on Friday at 4:00 p.m., when they travel to Ithaca College to take on Swarthmore College in the first of three matches on the weekend.
