CAMBRIDGE -
Jessie Wang (Princeton, NJ/Princeton) and
Susannah Winfield (East Aurora, NY/East Aurora) each earned top-10 finishes Saturday evening on Day 3 of the NEWMAC Championships hosted by MIT in Zesiger Center Pool.
MIT increased its lead to 1,079 points with Coast Guard remaining in second place (528 points), Wellesley in third place (464 points), Babson in fourth place (353 points), Wheaton in fifth place (352 points), WPI moving up to sixth place (341 points), Smith dipping to seventh place (310 points), and Springfield (222 points), Clark (179 points), and Mount Holyoke (130 points) rounding out the standings.
Wang qualified for the A Final of the 100 Fly and finished ninth overall in 57.91. In the 200 breast, Winfield posted a ninth place time in the A Final in 1:09.05. The 200 medley relay team of
Jaclyn Kanda (Irvine, CA/Arnold O Beckman), Winfield, Wang, and Abby Caputo touched the wall eighth in 1:52.77.
