MARLBORO - Following the conclusion of the 2026 NEWMAC Championships, Smith College diving coach Louie Bierwert has been recognized as the Co-Diving Coach of the Year. 

During the NEWMAC Championships, Smith divers accumulated 65 points. On the 1-meter, Katherine Welsh (St. Paul, MN/Saint Paul Academy) placed third and Miranda Strunk (Lowell, MA/Lowell) finished ninth followed by a sixth place mark on the 3-meter for Welsh and ninth place for Strunk. 
 
Both Welsh and Strunk represented Smith at the NCAA Regional Diving Championsip.
