MARLBOROUGH - With the completion of the regular season, the NEWMAC has released the 2026 Women's Lacrosse Championship Bracket. The championship tournament will consist of seven teams competing for the NEWMAC crown, with games beginning on Saturday, April 25th. 

With a perfect 10-0 conference record, defending NEWMAC Champions MIT has locked up the top seed and a first-round bye. The second seed goes to Coast Guard (9-1), who will host No. 7 Salve Regina University (4-6) on Saturday, April 25.

Springfield College (8-2) nabbed the third seed and will welcome No. 6 seed Wheaton College (5-5) to Stagg Field. 

In the final first-round match-up, No. 4 Babson College (7-3) will host No. 5 Smith (6-4). The Beavers will look to Lilly Bedard to be an impact player in the tournament, as she leads her squad with 66 points on 33 assists and 33 goals. Smith's Kyra Hawk (San Jose, CA/The Harker School) has totaled 58 goals this season, good for fourth in the league. The winner of this game will face MIT in a semifinal showdown on Wednesday, April 29, while the two winners of the other first-round matchups will square off in the second semifinal. 

The winners of each semifinal game will then meet in the championship game on Saturday, May 2^nd, at the site of the highest remaining seed.

Tickets for NEWMAC championship events can be purchased through the NEWMAC box office. The NEWMAC encourages fans to purchase their mobile tickets in advance of the event to streamline the entry process on game day. Spectators may purchase mobile tickets on site, but no cash option will be available. Ticket prices are $10 for general admission. Children 12 and under and NEWMAC students with a valid institutional ID are free and do not need to purchase a mobile ticket. Once a matchup is confirmed following each round of the championship, the tickets will become available.
