16 Rowers Recognized as CRCA Scholar-Athletes

NORTHAMPTON - Sixteen Smith rowers were honored as 2026 Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Scholar-Athletes, the organization announced Friday.

To qualify for the award, student-athletes must meet all institutional and conference eligibility requirements, be in their second, third, fourth or fifth year of eligibility and maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher through the end of the fall semester. Athletically, nominees must have rowed in at least 75 percent of their team's spring races in an NCAA-eligible boat or competed in an NCAA boat at their conference championship or national championship. 

Across all divisions, the CRCA recognized 1,174 student-athletes with the 2026 Scholar-Athlete Award. This year's honorees averaged a GPA above 3.59, including 76 student-athletes who achieved a perfect 4.0.
