LEXINGTON, KY - The Smith College volleyball team has earned the 22025 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award this season. The award, initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale. The Bears were also named to the AVCA Team Academic Honor Roll, representing the top 20% of GPAs nationally by division.

Smith finished the academic year with a 3.842 cumulative GPA and placed nine student-athletes on the NEWMAC Academic All-Conference Team. 

On the court, Smith went 19-12 and appeared in the quarterfinals of the NEWMAC Tournament.
