The Smith College basketball team will take its talents overseas this fall, traveling to Lisbon, Portugal from October 9-13, experiencing the sights and culture while also playing a pair of exhibitions against foreign competition.

"Going to Portugal as a team to start the year means a lot to me. It's such a special opportunity for us to experience something completely new together outside of basketball and create memories that we'll carry with us throughout the season. The trip will provide the Bears with an opportunity to experience Portugal while continuing to build chemistry and prepare for the upcoming season. 

While in Portugal, the team will explore the Pena Palace, kayak in Cascais, sightsee around Lisbon, and play against the Quinta dos Lombos basketball team. 

"Getting to experience a trip abroad with my teammates for the start of my seniorseason is such a special opportunity that I am beyond grateful for. I am excited to be in another country exploring another culture with our new team.
