Kaitlin Paterson enters her second season as a graduate assistant coach with the Smith College softball program in 2022.

Paterson graduated from Central Connecticut State University with a B.A. in Strategic Communication, earning multiple Dean’s and President's Lists.

As a four-year starter for the Blue Devils, Paterson earned the New England Conference Golden Glove Award after finishing the season with a perfect fielding percentage at second base and was an All-NEC First Team honoree. 

Since 2016 Paterson has been an assistant coach for the Connecticut Eliminators Travel Softball Organization.

Prior to her time as a student-athlete at Central Connecticut, Paterson helped lead Southington to three Class LL State Championships, including undefeated seasons in 2014 and 2015. She was named the MVP of the 2015 State Championship game and was a four-time All-CCC Selection.
