Box Score NORTHAMPTON, Mass.--Visiting Wellesley College got 15 kills from Sydney Carfagno to post a 3-0 (20-25, 23-25, 13-25) win over Smith College in the regular season New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) finale for both teams.

Wellesley improves to 27-4, with a perfect 9-0 NEWMAC record.  Smith ends its season with a 7-19 record, and 3-6 in the NEWMAC.  Before the game, Smith honored seniors Blair Bell (Upper Montclair, N.J./Montclair Kimberly), Becca Gordon (West Hartford, Conn./Hall), and Becca Alexander (Powell, Ohio/Worthington Kilbourne).


Smith got a nine kill, .563 hitting performance from first year Mei-Li Smith (Cypress, Calif./Cypress), while adding 11 assists and eight digs.  Bethany Ashworth (North Falmouth, Mass./Bourne) added 14 assists and five digs.

The Blue, who will host the upcoming NEWMAC tournament next weekend, got 20 assists and two service aces from Hillary Ayers, as well as 20 digs and three service aces from Vivian Hu.
