NORTHAMPTON, Mass.--The Smith College basketball team (15-4, 10-3 NEWMAC) can match their longest winning streak of the year with a win over the United States Coast Guard Academy (5-13, 1-12 NEWMAC) on Saturday afternoon.  The Pioneers and Bears get underway at 2 p.m.

Last Meeting: Smith scored the final 10 points of the game to pull away from the Bears in New London on December 8.  Ellie Giles (Charlottesville, Va./St. Annes Belfield) scored 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds.

Smith Overview: Smith won their fifth consecutive game with a 59-49 win over Springfield College on Wednesday night.  The Pioneers began the second half on a 11-1 run to break open a close contest.

Coast Guard Overview: 2012 has not been kind to Coast Guard - the Bears have lost eight straight and nine of 10 since the New Year began.  The Bears fell to MIT in a low scoring contest 45-34 on Wednesday night. 

Smith Player to Watch: Drummond had a double-double against Springfield, with 19 points and 12 rebounds.  The sophomore has scored 19 points in every other game in the last five.

Coast Guard Player to Watch: Brittney Zimmerman is averaging 10.6 points per game and has knocked down 38.5 percent (25-of-65) of her three point shots.
