AMHERST, Mass.--The Smith College squash team closed out the Pioneer Valley Invitational with a 9-0 defeat to Haverford College on Sunday morning.

The closest match of the day was at No. 7, where Dipshikha Mahajan suffered an 8-11, 12-10, 10-12, 11-7, 6-11 defeat to Hannah Miller.  Vivian Lee (Seoul, South Korea/Yongsan International School of Seoul) also went five games, falling 11-13, 4-11, 11-3, 11-9, 6-11 at No. 4 to Alisa Strayer.

Jacqueline Zhou (Singapore, Singapore/) played close against Caroline Nightengale at No. 1, with a 7-11, 9-11, 8-11 defeat, and Eunice Zhao (Las Vegas, Nev./Liberty) lost 9-11, 7-11, 3-11 to Bethany Simmonds.

Smith will make their home debut on January 26, playing Drexel University on the first round of the Smith Invitational at 9 a.m.
