November 15, 2014

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. - The Smith College squash team opened play at the 2014 Wesleyan Invitational today. The Pioneers lost to Middlebury College, 9-0, before falling to William Smith College, 9-0 in the nightcap.

In the first match of the day against the Panthers of Middlebury College, Smith got a strong effort from Yun, who fell to Carter Makin, 3-11 4-11, 3-11, while at No. 1, Jana Chan (San Francisco, Calif./The Bay School) was bested by Saskia Pownall-Gray, 4-11, 0-11, 3-11.

In the Pioneers match against William Smith, Chan battled with Jocelyn McKenzie, with McKenzie taking the match 11-5, 11-7, 11-4.
