NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – Senior Jacqueline Zhou (Singapore, Singapore/Raffles Institution) was the lone winner on Wednesday as Smith College fell to rival Mount Holyoke College, 8-1.

The Lyons are now 4-4 on the season while the Pioneers dip to 0-7.

Zhou, who returned from injury Wednesday, picked up her first win of the season with an 11-8, 11-9, 11-7 victory over Brandy Williamson at number one.

Smith returns to action on Tuesday at 6 p.m. for their home opener against Amherst College.
