NORTHAMPTON, Mass. - Smith basketball hits the road for the first time this season when the Pioneers travel to Keene State Saturday, November 21st at 2:00 p.m.

Last Meeting: Four players scored in double figures, led by Tia Karapoulios (Cypress, Calif./Cypress)' first career double-double, but it was not enough as Keene State escaped with a 77-63 road win in Northampton on November 22, 2014. Karapoulios recorded career-highs in both points (16) and rebounds (11).

The Series: Keene State holds a commanding 11-1 lead in a series that dates back to 1975. The Pioneers only win came during the 2012 season, 65-57.

The Pioneers:Smith looks to get back in the win column after a 1-1 start to the season...the Pioneers fell in the championship game of the Tyler Tip-Off Tournament to RIT, 79-68...first-year Kennedy Guest-Pritchett (Fairburn, GA/The Lawrenceville School) was named to the All-Tournament Team after averaging 13.5 points and 7.0 rebounds...Lauren Bondi (Burnaby, BC, Can./Notre Dame Secondary) and Paige Marquez (San Francisco, Calif./St. Ignatius College Preparatory) are second in scoring with 9.5 points per game, while Amanda Barriscale (Mill Valley, Calif./Tamalpais) leads the team with 11.0 rebounds per contest...the Pioneers are averaging 76.5 points per game, while shooting 42.6 percent from the field and 27.3 percent from 3-point range.

The Owls:Keene State is out to a 3-0 start to their season, after claiming the 2015 KSC Tip-Off Tournament title last weekend...junior guard Stephanie D'Annolfo was named the tournament Most Valuable Player...KSC has three players scoring in double figures: Valerie Martin (15.0 ppg), Emily McPadden (15.0 ppg) and Sandi Purcell (11.3 ppg)...D'Annolfo leads the Owls in rebounding with 8.7 per game, while Lydia Vital is averaging 5.7 assists per contest...the Owls are putting up 88.3 points per game and are shooting 44.2 percent from the field and a scorching 42.9 percent from long distance.
