The Series
Williams has a 25-12 series lead and is 14-3 playing at home. Smith's last win came on January 28, 2013 when the host Pioneers upset the No. 20 Ephs, 53-49. Smith won the first meeting between these two teams during the 1972 season.

The Ephs
Williams (6-0, 0-0 NESCAC) enters Wednesday's game undefeated after their 81-59 win over Clarkson as part of the Williams Classic. In that game, tournament Most Valuable Player Ammani Fernandez registered a double-double that included 20 points and 11 assists. Fernandez led the Ephs to a 3-0 week by averaging 18.3 points on 45.2 percent shooting from the floor, and 50.0 shooting from 3-point range. Devon Caveney ranks fourth in the NESCAC, averaging 16.5 points per game, while Kaite Litman and Oge Uwananka are tied for second in the conference, each averaging 2.2 blocks per contest. Williams is ranked No. 17 in the latest D3hoops.com poll. Through six games, the Ephs average 68.3 points per game and are shooting 40.9 percent from the field and 34.2 from 3-point range.

The Pioneers
Smith (2-4, 0-2 NEWMAC) hopes to get back in the win column after their 81-56 loss to NEWMAC foe Babson Saturday. In that game, first-year Kennedy Guest-Pritchett (Fairburn, GA/The Lawrenceville School) recorded a double-double of 24 points and 15 rebounds, both career-high numbers. Guest-Pritchett ranks third in the conference in field goal percentage, shooting 57.7 percent and fifth in rebounds per game, averaging 8.3 per contest. Samantha Alakai (Pukalani, Hawaii/Punahou School) is fourth in the NEWMAC, shooting 42.9 percent from behind the arc. The Pioneers score 61.3 points per game and are shooting 36.0 percent from the field and 26.0 from 3-point range. This is just the second road game of the season for the Smith.
