Jenny Estes (Falmouth, Mass./Falmouth) added two points on a goal and an assist, but stingy defense coupled with solid ball control powered Babson College to a 20-3 victory over the Pioneers in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) lacrosse game Saturday.

Julia Hamilton (Williamstown, Mass./Deerfield Academy) each registered a draw control, while Silveria scooped a team-high three ground balls.

Amanda Rabe (Akron, Ohio/Western Reserve Academy) and sophomore
Quinn Lavigne (Portland, Maine/Portland) each scooped two ground balls, while Lavigne and Myran each tallied a caused turnover.
First-year
Sarah Price (Hudson, Ohio/Hudson) made a career-best 17 saves in the cage for Smith. Her 152 saves on the season are the most in the NEWMAC.
Babson opened the contest with the game's first goal, but Smith countered to tie the game at the 18:29 mark. After three-straight goals by the Beavers, Silveria's unassisted marker kept the Pioneers within striking distance at 4-2 with 7:32 left to play in the first half.
The Beavers answered with a 6-0 run, before Estes' 15
th goal of the season got the Pioneers to within seven (10-3). That was as close as they could get, as Babson scored ten unanswered to pick up their fourth win of the season.
Next up for Smith (3-10, 0-5 NEWMAC) will be a home game against Springfield College on Wednesday, April 15 at 7 p.m.
