SCOUTING THE COUGARS
Clark (10-3, 3-5) enters Saturday's game after a 71-48 rout of Newbury College Monday afternoon in non-conference basketball action. In that game, Ogechi Ezemma registered a team-best 14 points and seven rebounds in just 16 minutes, while Sam O'Gara added 11 points, three assists and three steals. The Scarlet and White return 99.4 percent of their scoring from a season ago, including O'Gara who returns for her junior campaign after leading the team in scoring for the second straight season. O'Gara ranks fourth in the conference in points per game (15.1) while Ezemma is fourth in rebounds per contest (9.6) and junior forward Haley Wilder ranks sixth in the NEWMAC in 3PT percentage (41.7). Clark averages 65.9 points per game and was picked to finish ninth in the NEWMAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.

SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
Smith (12-4, 5-3) already surpassed last season's win total in their 73-55 victory over Wellesley on Wednesday evening. In that game, Kennedy Guest-Pritchett (Fairburn, Ga./The Lawrenceville School) (16 points), Samantha Alakai (Pukalani, Hawaii/Punahou School) (15 points), and Erin Hanley (San Francisco, Calif./St. Ignatius College Prepatory) (11 points) scored in double-figures as the Pioneers recorded 17 assists. Sophomore guard Sydney Koh (Seattle, Wash. /Lakeside), who has been a sharpshooter off the bench this season, connects on 43.9 percent of three-pointers taken. The Pioneers have the league's second-highest scoring offense, averaging 69.6 points per game, and were voted to finish fifth in the Preseason Coaches' Poll.
