THE SERIES
The game marks the 48th all-time meeting between the two programs, dating back to the first contest in 1982-83 season - a 67-50 Smith victory. The Beavers lead 37-10 and have won 16 of the last 18 games between the teams since 2010.

LAST MEETING
Sophomore Erin Hanley (San Francisco, Calif./St. Ignatius College Prepatory) led three players in double figures with 13 points for the Pioneers in a 74-65 loss to Babson. The Beavers closed the game on a 14-5 run.

LAST SMITH WIN
Paulina Solis finished with 17 points and Mandy Castro (San Diego, Calif./Poway) tallied 10 of her 14 points in the first half as the top-seeded Pioneers defeated fifth-seeded Babson, 64-58, in a NEWMAC Tournament semifinal on March 1, 2014, in Northampton. 

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
Babson (15-4, 9-1 NEWMAC) saw its 20-game regular season conference winning streak come to an end with a 78-74 double-overtime loss to MIT on Wednesday night. Senior guard Giovanna Pickering poured in a career-high 31 points and senior forward Jennifer Narlee grabbed a career-best 18 rebounds to go along with four blocked shots for the Beavers, who led by as many as 14 midway through the second quarter. Pickering (18.0 pts, 6.0 reb, 4.2 ast, 2.5 steals) is shooting 46.2 percent in conference play, senior Taylor Russell is averaging 12.9 points and 6.0 rebounds, and Narlee (5.6 points, 10.7 rebounds, 2.7 steals) leads the conference in rebounds. The Beavers are 10-0 this season when shooting 40 percent or better as a team. The Green and White are the highest scoring team in the NEWMAC, averaging 72.9 points per game and were picked to finish second in the Coaches' Preseason Poll.

SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
Smith (13-5, 5-4 NEWMAC) defeated Trinity for its ninth win in 11 games on Wednesday night. Junior Samantha Alakai (Pukalani, Hawaii/Punahou School) and sophomore Lauren Bondi (Burnaby, BC, Can./Notre Dame Secondary) both scored 18 points for the Pioneers, who led by five at the half and outscored the Bantams 24-13 in the third quarter. Sophomore forward Kennedy Guest-Pritchett (Fairburn, Ga./The Lawrenceville School) ranks in the top-6 of the conference in points per game (14.3) and rebounds per game (10.1) and has recorded eight double-doubles on the year. Hanley (9.5 pts, 5.3 reb) is shooting 50.4 percent, and the duo of Alakai and senior Paige Marquez (San Francisco, Calif./St. Ignatius College Prepatory) are both contributing 6.8 points. Junior Meghan Holland (Atherton, Calif./Sacred Heart Prepatory) is second in the conference in assist/turnover ratio (2.0). Smith ranks 28th nationally in scoring defense allowing just 51.1 points per game. The Pioneers score 67.9 points per game and were voted to finish fifth in the Preseason Coaches' Poll.
