THE SERIES
The game marks the 47th meeting between the two programs, dating back to the first contest during the 1980 season - a 56-49 Clark victory.

LAST MEETING
Smith erased an 11 point deficit en route to a 74-66 NEWMAC win over Clark University on February 20, 2016. Kennedy Guest-Pritchett (Fairburn, GA/The Lawrenceville School) scored a game-high 22 points, added 15 rebounds and three steals off the bench for the Pioneers while sophomore guard Paige Marquez (San Francisco, Calif./St. Ignatius College Preparatory) produced 15 points on 4-of-7 shooting from the floor, including 3-of-4 from beyond the arc, and five assists.

LAST CLARK WIN
Clark closed the game with a 17-8 run to pull away for a 53-39 triumph over the Pioneers on December 6, 2014.

SCOUTING THE COUGARS
Clark (9-3, 3-2) enters tonight's game after a come-from-behind 60-56 win over Wheaton College Saturday afternoon. In that game, Ogechi Ezemma finished with a double-double, collecting 21 points and 17 rebounds while Sam O'Gara had an excellent all-around effort, ending with 15 points, eight rebounds, seven steals and six assists. The Scarlet and White return 99.4 percent of their scoring from a season ago, including O'Gara who returns for her junior campaign after leading the team in scoring for the second straight season. O'Gara ranks third in the conference in points per game (16.3) while Ezemma is second in rebounds per contest (10.1) and junior forward Haley Wilder ranks second in the NEWMAC in 3PT percentage (46.4). Clark averages 69.1 points per game and was picked to finish ninth in the NEWMAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.

SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
Smith (9-3, 2-2) aims to win six consecutive games for the first time since the 2012-13 season. The Pioneers are coming off a 95-30 route of Mount Holyoke College Wednesday evening. In that game, Guest-Pritchett registered a game-high 19 points on 8-of-10 shooting in 19 minutes of action while senior guard Mandy Castro (San Diego, Calif./Poway) played all 40 minutes, finishing with 12 points, seven assists and two boards. Guest-Pritchett ranks in the top-five of the NEWMAC in rebounds per game (10.3) and points per game (15.1) while sophomore guard Erin Hanley (San Francisco, Calif./St. Ignatius College Prepatory) leads the league in field goal percentage (56.2%) scoring 11.3 points per game. Sophomore guard Sydney Koh (Seattle, Wash. /Lakeside), who has been a sharpshooter off the bench this season, connects on 44.1 percent of three-pointers taken. The Pioneers have the league's second-highest scoring offense, averaging 70.5 points per game, and were voted to finish fifth in the Preseason Coaches' Poll.
