FIVE THINGS TO KNOW

• The Smith College basketball team went 2-0 at the Tyler Tip-Off Tournament this past weekend with wins over Southern Maine and Bates.

 

• Head coach Lynn Hersey won her 150th career game at Smith on Saturday.

 

• Amanda Barriscale (Mill Valley, Calif./Tamalpais) was named to the All-Tournament Team and Kennedy Guest-Pritchett (Fairburn, Ga./The Lawrenceville School) earned the Most Valuable Player of the tournament.

 

• The Seahawks return the Commonwealth Coast Conference's Rookie of the Year in sophomore guard Torie Scorpio who started all 26 games while averaging 12.5 points per game.

 

• Salve Regina enters tonight's game after a 75-49 loss to Coast Guard Friday evening...in that game, Kerri Beland led the Seahawks with 13 points and nine boards
